We first owned a Great Dane in 1979 not a show girl but a lovely companion called Cassie.
Unfortunatley we lost her at a young age, this left the house very quiet, so the search started for another Dane.

She was followed by Xena ( Kontiki Uptown Girl ) we were encouraged by the breeder to have a go at showing , we had some success with her and caught the show bug.

After a year we decided that a friend was needed for Xena and along came Ellie(Kontiki Dancing Queen) again she was shown with success.
These 2 girls are the foundation bitches of the Samdice Kennels.

On looking for suitable males we decided we admired the Dorneywood and Airways lines and brought them into our breeding. 
We have selectively tried to breed first and foremost healthy Danes with good temperaments and of good type.

During the years of showing, both our daughters Samantha & Candice have joined us in our hobby  and have been members of the KCJO (now the Young Kennel Club ) and Candice our youngest daughter has joined us on our affix taking even more interest in showing and judging.

All our dogs are Pets before Showdogs and are treated as members of the family.
